Are you interested in becoming a Trainee Teacher but not sure where to begin?
Would you like to find a practical, experience-led alternative to the PGCE and begin your career in education?
We are looking for a burgeoning Trainee Teacher in Art or Geography to join a school community as part of a teacher training programme. This fully funded, salaried opportunity will allow you to gain a wealth of classroom experience, develop your teaching skills and achieve QTS, all in the space of one year.
Working as a Trainee Teacher will see you in a classroom from day one, building upon your existing experience and confidence and gradually increasing your responsibility at a pace that suits you. You will have the chance to teach independently whilst benefiting from the support network of teachers, mentors and a personal tutor.
In addition to this, a Trainee Teacher is paid in line with an unqualified teacher and there are no course fees so that you can focus on both your and your students’ learning. With the combination of quality training and the opportunity for personal and professional growth, this is the ideal way to explore your passion for developing young minds.
Entry Requirements for a Trainee Teacher:
- A 2.2 degree or above (preferably in a Geography or Art related field).
- Grade C (or equivalent) in GCSE Maths and English.
- Residence in the UK or EU for the past three years.
- A commitment to make a difference.
- The ability to inspire and motivate.
- Previous experience working with young people is desirable.
We are looking for a Trainee Teacher in Geography and one in Art to begin the Teaching Apprenticeship Programme in September, so if you are interested in this opportunity and qualified in either subject, apply now and take the first steps towards your teaching career.
