Are you looking to begin a career in teaching in a secondary school?
Would you like to find a Teacher Training option that is practical, flexible and fee free?
The Teaching Apprenticeship Programme is a salaried, fee-free route into Teacher Training that allows you to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) by working in a school instead of returning to university. This hands-on approach to Teacher Training provides you with the experience and learning tools necessary to begin your career as a secondary school teacher. Working alongside qualified teachers, you will build up your confidence and ability in the classroom so that you will be teaching your own classes towards the end of the programme.
You will receive the support and advice of the teachers, training provider and your personal tutor throughout your Teacher Training. In addition to this, the Teaching Apprenticeship Programme pays in line with an unqualified teacher and the course fees are fully funded, meaning you can concentrate on your training and helping your students to develop and learn.
Entry requirements for Teacher Training:
– A 2:2 degree or above in your specialist subject.
– GCSEs in English, Maths and your subject, all Grade C or above.
– You have lived continuously in the UK or EU for the past three years.
Experience working in a school is not essential, however a passion for your subject and a desire to inspire and motivate young people is imperative.
We are particularly looking for trainees in Mathematics, Science, English, Computer Science, Design & Technology and Spanish. You can apply to the programme at any point in the year, so if you are a graduate in any of these subjects and meet the criteria above, apply today to begin Teacher Training in September and get started on your career in education.
