Secondary School Teaching Apprenticeships
Are you interested in becoming a Secondary School teacher but haven’t decided on the right route for you?
We are looking for graduates to join on our Secondary School Teaching Apprenticeship programme for the next academic year. This school-based teacher training option allows trainees to combine practical experience with theoretical knowledge, giving you a well-rounded and comprehensive foundation for your career in education.
On a Secondary School Teaching Apprenticeship, you will be working in the classroom from day one – teaching alongside qualified teachers and supported by mentors and a personal tutor. This will be supplemented by off-site training days which will provide you with the tools to implement in the classroom.
In addition to all of this, the Secondary School Teaching Apprenticeship is fully funded and you will be paid a salary equivalent to that of an unqualified teacher, so you can focus on your training and not the fees.
Entry Requirements for a Secondary School Teaching Apprenticeship:
– A 2:2 degree or above in a discipline relevant to your subject.
– A GCSE Grade C or higher in English and Maths.
– The ability to desire and motivate.
– You have lived in the UK or EU for three consecutive years before applying.
– Experience working in a school or as a tutor is desired, but not essential.
Schools are particularly looking for graduates in Maths, Design & Technology and Science subjects for the Secondary School Teaching Apprenticeship as these are in high demand. If you would like to begin in a school as early as this summer, apply today to get on and take the first steps towards your career in education.
