Science Trainee Teacher

Salaried QTS Training – Southwark, London

Turn your Science undergraduate degree into Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in 2020 by completing an apprenticeship programme as a Science Trainee. As a core subject, this academy requires a high-quality Science Trainee who can progress to become a fully qualified teacher – so there’s never been a better time to use your skills and knowledge in Science to inspire young minds. Avail of a salary anywhere upwards of £21,004 in addition to on-the-job training working with students during your working day.

We are accepting applications from Science graduates hoping to start their teacher training as early as April 2020. The school in question believes in the immense potential of each of the pupils and is committed to giving them every possible opportunity to succeed. Every student should leave the academy with real choices: to continue into further and higher education or pursue the career of their choice. With high expectations for pupil behaviour and achievement and equally high expectations for the quality of teaching in the classroom, as a Science Trainee you are sure to receive immense support during your training. The percentage of pupils achieving a Grade 5+ or better in English and maths GCSEs was an impressive 27% – working as a Science Trainee you will be expected to uphold an interest in your subject.

You’ll get the support of a personal tutor in addition to a teaching mentor with an established teaching career, ready to give you the best advice regarding your career as an educator. Once you qualify, you’ll start on a salary of at least £24,373, or £30,480 in inner London.
