Science Trainee Teacher
An Ofsted graded ‘Good’ school with an ‘Outstanding’ sixth form in the Oxfordshire area is looking for a Science Trainee Teacher to join their successful team and secure Qualified Teacher Status with their support. This is a long-term-to-permanent appointment to commence in April 2021, although an earlier or possibly later start could be arranged for the right Science Trainee Teacher.

The successful Science Trainee Teacher will be based in a high-performing department which welcomes innovation and new ideas. As a trainee working towards QTS, you will have your own timetabled classes in which you yourself will take on the responsibility of teaching and supporting your own cohort of learners. This will include teaching Science across various key stages and years.
In order to apply for this role of Science Trainee Teacher, you will need to meet a few minimum requirements, without exception, including:
-Bachelor of Honours in Science (2.2 or above is expected for this position)
-GCSE C or above in English and Maths; preferably an A-Level in Science subjects also
-A passion for Science and confident abilities in presenting/teaching/tuition
-Right-to-work in the UK full-time; you will need to have been ordinarily resident in the UK, EU or EEA for the last three years in order to be eligible
-Experience working with students in some capacity is not required but is preferred
