Primary Teacher Training
Primary Teacher Training – Aylesbury
By training to teach primary, you’ll make an extraordinary impact during some of the most crucial years of a child’s development. Unlike secondary teacher training where subjects are more specialised, a primary placement will provide you with the opportunity to explore various topics from across the curriculum. If you have a love for working with younger learners then our current placements in the Aylesbury area could be suited to you.
Under the Teaching Apprenticeship Programme you will receive support from a number of sources including a Specialist Teacher Training Advisor, your own personal Tutor and a Mentor within your team at your chosen school for the duration of your placement. Applying for a Teacher Training Programme can be daunting but we are here to answer all your questions and assist you with your application as best we can. Financially beneficial, you will receive a salary during your training and will not pay any contribution to you training costs – your chosen school will cover the full cost of this!
Primary teachers often teach different subjects to the same class, so your training will also equip you with the skills you need to respond to your pupils’ individual needs. As a result, you’ll discover how to fulfil an increasingly pastoral role in the classroom, helping children feel at ease and settled into school life. If continuous support of students on their educational journey is something that appeals to you within teacher training then perhaps Primary is the best route for you.
