-Personal Tutor and Teaching Mentor support

The school offers a distinctive small environment and is justly proud of its reputation as a place where each individual is well known, listened to and encouraged to be the best they can be. They work hard to provide a safe and happy environment within which every student can grow and achieve personal, social and academic success. This is an excellent opportunity for a Physics (or engineering field) graduate looking to work in a developing school.

The successful Physics Trainee Teacher will be based in a hard-working department which welcomes innovation and trainees looking to make a difference – this is not for those who wish to do the bare minimum!  They have very high expectations of pupils and set them stretching targets. Pupils rise to the challenge, displaying an enthusiasm for learning and a desire to do the very best they can. The vast majority of pupils work hard in lessons and are resilient when tackling new material.”

As a Physics Trainee Teacher working towards QTS, you will have your own timetabled classes in which you yourself will take on the responsibility of teaching and supporting your own cohort of learners in the subject of Physics and Science. This will include teaching Physics across various year groups and taking responsibility of preparation and planning of lessons across your 12 months on programme. If you are someone who likes a challenge and putting in the hard work with learners that have an interest in this subject, helping to encourage their skillset and abilities, then this could be the right school for you.

In order to apply for this role of Physics Trainee Teacher, you will need to meet a few minimum requirements, without exception, including:

-Bachelor of Honours in Physics or similar area (2.2 or above is expected for this position)

-GCSE C or above in English and Maths is required; an A-Level in Physics is also preferred but not essential

-A passion for physics and confident abilities in teaching

-Experience working with students in some capacity is not required but is preferred

Whether you’re a newly-graduated individual looking for an excellent programme to secure your QTS or an experienced school worker looking to do more with your degree and progress in your career – apply now for Physics Trainee Teacher!
