Paid Teacher Training
Teaching Apprenticeship Programme – Paid Teacher Training – Secondary Schools in London
Secondary schools across London are looking for graduates who are interested in beginning Paid Teacher Training courses in either January or April. This would be through the Teaching Apprenticeship Programme, which is a relatively new Paid Teacher Training course with no tuition fees and no student loans attached.
With particular shortages in certain areas, the Teaching Apprenticeship Programme is keen to hear from graduates in English, Maths, Science, Computing and Modern Foreign Languages. If you live in London or are relocating, our advisors will be able to give you options of different secondary schools based around London based on your preferred locations and types of schools – taking all of the stress out of searching for jobs and schools.
Paid Teacher Training has more positives than just the finances! By the time you qualify you will have spent a full year working in a school, gaining experience in both teaching practice and working in a school environment. So Paid Teacher Training will see you qualify as a well-rounded and well-prepared practitioner, which is why the Department for Education has been heavily promoting school-based training for the last few years.
Teaching Apprenticeship Programme – Entry Criteria:
- Honours degree in or related to the subject you want to teach (NARIC equivalence required for overseas qualifications)
- Cs or above in GCSE Maths & English
- Ideally you will have worked with children previously (not essential)
Salary: £22,000 – 25,000 per annum
