Paid Teacher Training
Secondary Paid Teacher Training
Location: Greater London
Starting: April 2019 and September 2019
Training as a secondary school teacher can be a challenging yet rewarding experience; through the TAP programme you can earn a salary whilst you get your QTS qualification. This programme offers a combination of classroom teaching experience, practical learning with a personal tutor and a salary.
You’ll receive a combination of classroom teaching and 20% of your time is allocated to off-the-job training as you work towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). In addition, you’ll be required to undertake an end-point assessment (EPA) in the final term to ensure you’re on track to be an effective newly qualified teacher. The added benefit of the TAP programme is that should you perform well in your training year you are likely to be offered a contract with your chosen school after you achieve your QTS.
Should you have an undergraduate degree in one of the following areas then Secondary Paid Teacher Training could be for you; Science, Mathematics, Art & Design, Design Technology (DT), Geography, English, Music and more.
What is required in order for you to apply;
– Undergraduate degree 2:2 or above (If 2:2 then A-Levels and GCSE’s should be impressive)
– C or above in GCSE English and Maths
– Passion for working with teenage learners
– Right to work in the UK; must have been living in the UK, EU or EEA for the last 3 years consecutively
Don’t wait until September to start your Teacher Training journey – we have opportunities to begin an apprenticeship in the coming weeks and months. Apply today or call us on 0203 910 0403 for more information!
