We are working in collaboration with Downham Market Academy the Downham Market, Norfolk area, supporting the school with their recruitment of trainee teachers with placements starting in June or September 2021. As part of the Cambridgeshire Educational Trust, the school aims to ensure that every student in their care realises their potential and takes that responsibility very seriously, this will include the successful Maths Trainee Teacher. This supports trainee teachers in that they are able to build a stronger foundation of best practice in leadership, teaching and learning.
Situated in Norfolk, the schools are easily accessible by road. Downham Market Academy is a place where realising the academic potential and developing the emotional and social intelligence of each student is the highest priority. As a Maths Trainee Teacher, you can expect to gain experience across year groups and key stages throughout your twelve month programme. Additionally, you will have access to excellent resources throughout your year as an apprentice and support from a Teaching Mentor and Personal Tutor.
The successful Maths Trainee Teacher will be someone who can meet the below requirements:
– Completed a Bachelor of Honours in a Mathematics field (2.1 or above is required for this role)
– Right-to-work full-time in the UK; you must have been ordinarily resident within the UK, EU or EEA for the last three years
– Passionate about teaching and good subject knowledge in Maths
– GCSE’s C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
– Seeking responsibility and further experience within the classroom; you will be teaching from the very first term
