Mathematics Trainee Teacher
An Ofsted graded ‘Good’ school in the London borough of Hillingdon is looking for a Mathematics Trainee Teacher to join their successful team and secure Qualified Teacher Status with their support. This is a long-term appointment (minimum 12 months) to commence in January 2021, although an earlier or possibly later start could be arranged for the right Mathematics Trainee Teacher.

In recent years, the school has been judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted and aims to further its record for providing a thriving community with exceptional education standards. In November 2019 a yearly Challenge Partners Review was conducted involving a skilled team of reviewers, led by an Ofsted qualified inspector, reviewing the school in question. The successful Mathematics Trainee Teacher will be based in a high-performing department which welcomes innovation and new ideas. As a trainee working towards QTS, you will have your own timetabled classes in which you yourself will take on the responsibility of teaching and supporting your own cohort of learners. This will include teaching Mathematics across various key stages and years, with mixed ability.
In order to apply for this role, you will need to meet a few minimum requirements, without exception, including:
-Bachelor of Honours in Mathematics (1st class or 2.1 preferred; 2.2 minimum is expected for this position)
-GCSE C or above in English and Maths; preferably an A-Level in Mathematics also
-A passion for Maths and confident abilities in presenting/teaching/tuition
-Right-to-work in the UK full-time
-Experience working with students in some capacity is not required but is preferred
