History Apprentice Teacher
Do you have a History-based degree? Passionate about securing a future educating others? Apply for our paid teacher training!
As a History Apprentice Teacher, you’ll learn the skills needed to enhance your pupils’ understanding of British history and the world as it is today – from the events that shaped civilisations, to the historical figures that made them happen. You’ll discover how to pique students’ curiosity and help them evaluate arguments, analyse trends and appreciate the complexity of societies throughout time.
Our programme will support you over your twelve months as an apprentice with the end goal being that you achieve QTS – Qualified Teacher Status – after completing a high-quality training route in a school you become a vital part of. Upon completion your placement school is likely to offer you a more permanent position with them, meaning you can continue your teaching journey with the very people who helped motivate you to succeed in the classroom.
What do you need to apply?
- Honours degree in or related to the subject you want to teach (NARIC equivalence required for overseas qualifications)
- Cs or above in GCSE Maths & English
- Ideally you will have worked with children previously (not essential)
