Salaried QTS Teacher Training – Middlesex, Greater London
Currently working in partnership with a school based in Middlesex, the Teaching Apprenticeship Programme are seeking English Trainee Teachers seeking paid routes to getting QTS. The school in question has been judged ‘Outstanding’ in a number of areas including ‘Effectiveness of leadership and management’ thus providing you as an English Trainee with a great deal of support in your training year – it is worth noting that the current Principal started their career with the school as a Trainee themselves.
Your training as an English Trainee will have a strong focus on helping your pupils to become effective written and verbal communicators. You’ll learn teaching methods and strategies to help them hone their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills, standing them in good stead for the future. Once you qualify and obtain QTS through the programme you’ll start on a salary of at least £24,373, or £30,480 in inner London. As your career progresses, so will your salary – teachers in leadership roles can earn on average £58,881, with many earning significantly more.
Minimum requirements for this English Trainee route includes an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject area 2.2 or above, GCSE’s C or above in English and Maths in addition to the right to work within the UK and a genuine love for your subject – English.
