Design Technology Apprentice Teacher
Training as a D&T teacher, you’ll nurture pupils’ creativity and teach them the skills to not only come up with brilliant ideas, but to turn them into a reality. By doing so, you’ll be teaching a subject that complements their wider learning and brings it to life in practical terms – from maths and science to computing and art. With potential placements across Greater London and a specific placement based in Hounslow starting April 2020 the opportunities for teacher training are endless.
What do you need to apply?

– Undergraduate degree 2.2 or above with a Design, Technology or Engineering focus
– GCSE’s; C or above in English and Maths
– Experience within education is not vital but preferred
Pursuing Qualified Teacher Status through the apprenticeship programme will give you an in-depth training experience. As a Design Technology Apprentice Teacher you can benefit from the support of established educators and a personal tutor over 12 months. Once you qualify, you’ll start on a salary of at least £24,373, or £30,480 in inner London. As your career progresses, so will your salary – teachers in leadership roles can earn on average £58,881, with many earning significantly more.
